Just noticed that. I don’t run Windows but I do know it’s the chip mentioned on the title of this post as I have the same laptop in the guide. It’s the alc225. I’ll keep in it but I may just live with the poor voodoo audio just for now and use Linux since I only need this for Xcode.
I still think these guides could use an update.
Been spending time trying to learn patching DSDTs and I get a little further each time. I’m not fully sure it fixes audio though since that’s all that fails to work m as it seems just about everybody on the forums runs into with this chip sadly.

Your laptop is different and it's using different hardware, particularly different audio chip (most likely).
You should check your audio device ID (in Windows or with DPCIManager) and google instructions for that specific audio chip
