[Guide] Booting The USB Installer Using OpenCore

Hi Feartech, I am trying to set up a HP EliteBook 830 G3, Kaby Lake. I started optimistic witch Monterey and OC 7.5 and I followed Dortanias guide buy the letter. I have now also followed your guide here and used Catalina and your OC folder with a corrected configplist for my cpu. But no matter what I do it always ends up with a stop at AppleIntelLpssI2Controller. I also tried to add the Voodool2C kext project, but as I understand I have to get an install before I can get those to work. Does it have something to do with my trackpad? Is it possible to solve you think? Some obviously has installed on similar laptops with Clover, but I don't want to get back to that since it will be too confusing for me. I extracted some info from Linux as you can see if you have time.
zip and upload your OC folder

Hello, so this is the OC folder for Catalina I am trying with. If you have time to look I am very thankful.

you could try disabling:
Code:

                <key>Arch</key>
                <string>Any</string>
                <key>BundlePath</key>

Thank you. So I disabled the Trackpad in the Voodoo kext and also double checked I got the settings right from post 2. Unfortunately it did not solve the problem. If I just can get past that I2CController...anthing else you could think of? I read soo many pages no real solution I found.
I booted the laptop with a windows copy to find info, but am not an expert. HWinfo64 tells it has Synaptic point and mouse device but there is no trace of a Touchpad. There is info about a serial IO GPIO Controller - INT344B and it looks like the screen shot. Is it something there perhaps?

do you have any bios settings relating to trackpad at all?

Hello, no unfortunately nothing in bios, and I have the latest. Now I also disabled the mouse part of Voodoo to see, but no. I read about GPIO pinning and such, but seems very complicated https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/opencore-i2c-trackpad-not-working-with-ssdt-gpi0.310972/page-2 and I think I need to be able to boot it somehow before I can start that process. Am I right?

I will try this and hope for the best :) https://dortania.github.io/Getting-...hods/ssdt-easy.html#so-what-can-t-ssdttime-do

This is the DSDT from my HP EliteBook 830 G5. I checked it with MaciASL and compared it with this guide https://dortania.github.io/Getting-...ps/trackpad-methods/manual.html#checking-gpi0, and also tried the SSDT-XOSI.aml and SSDT-GPI0.aml. Its a bit overwhelming at the moment.

you do the part of the guide after you have installed macOS
Thanks, I just look at any possibilities. Seems not to promising so far. This AppleIntelLpssI2CController is a pain. fTimerserviceMatching timed out fNotification 0, what does it mean?
I tried to add SSDT_XOSI and also SSDT-GPIO amls to ACPI folder..but then it immediately halts on "critical error"

I have HP Zbook G4 and I got stuck at the same place. Tried different combinations but none of them have helped. I have been trying for the last one month and no success yet.
