[Guide] Booting the OS X installer on LAPTOPS with Clover

Hello I used to run El Capitan on my Probook HP 4530s, the hard drive simply failed and I have installed a brand new SSD.
So I am trying to install Sierra on my laptop.
I have created a USB 2.0 key with one partition EFI, and installed the installer on the other Mac HFS+ partition.
I have used this guide : https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...book-zbook-using-clover-uefi-hotpatch.261719/
And for the USB this: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/
I have used this config file renamed config.plist which I think is suitable for my system:
config_HD3000_1366x768

When I see the apple logo I then get a no entry sign straight away

I have used different config files the one that gets me the furthest is an old config files used to boot Yosemite on my laptop (still no success I get to grey screen and beachball, so I can't get to the Sierra installer)

I have attached a screen capture and mi EFI folder. What am I doing wrong? Hope somebody can help!

As mentioned in post #1, try OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi instead of AptioMemoryFix-64.efi.

Hallo to everybody.
I can't get rid of "+++++++++" and rebbot at the very beginning of USB installer boot.
RehabMan build of Clover
I tried all the scenarios (AptioMemoryFix-64.efi instead of OsxAptioFix*.efi) but unsuccessfully.
In the attach, my last clover config (with OsxAptioFix)

Which is the cause of this "++++++++" ? To what is it related and how can I get rid of it ?
Appreciate any help !

Thanks

"Problem Reporting" files are incomplete/wrong.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Wooo...sorry..I didn't understand how to collect data even if installer boot fails.

Clover directory, update with the outcome from it (F2 and F4) in attach.

Awaiting your comments and suggestion.

THANK YOU

Correct (as I was merging your instructions with this https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-acer-swift-3-i5-8250u-high-sierra.249160/ related to very similar, identical, hardware architecture)

Ok, I have made clover running again and I now have exactly the same files than those indicated on first page of this thread (see updated file in attach). Unfortunately the same "+++++" and reboot occurs.

Is it there a way to understand where it stops ? Which might be the cause and which solutions I can implement ?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us!
Looking forward in your reply.

Replaced High Sierra with Mojave (just for try) and a small outcome arise.
Still reboot after 5 seconds at the end of "+++++++"
See picture :geek:

I read this https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/solved-first-hackintosh-clover-installer-keeps-rebooting.241604/ and had the idea of trying to replace the OS. Well, same problem, but at least something is shown.

I DID IT ON MY OWWWNNN !!!! UATOOOOOOO !!!!

RehabMan, it's been 4 days that I am studying on my own here and everywhere in the net. I am very proud of myself !

What I did I do believe can solve all of such problems. Let me explain what I did

1) I read that following "End RandomSeed" the system tries to mapping the memory slot
2) if the system is not capable of fixing such information, it reboots

THEN

3) thanks to one of your previous message about FAQ and issue reporting, I had the chance to read the preboot.log into misc directory in clover startup USB

4) scratching all the information in such file, I found this:

0:599 0:000 DDR speed 2400MHz
0:599 0:000 Slot: 2 Type 26 8192MB 2400MHz Vendor=SK Hynix PartNo=HMA81GS6AFR8N-UH SerialNo=020D08010C0B0D0F

5) I then edited my config.plist file (by Clover), went to SMBIOS.memory and added the information mentioned earlier

6) save, reboot and.....ENJOY !!!!

Now, I would say that preboot.log file hosts also many useful information and those information should be read carefully and put into config.plist file

Anyway....I am so excited that my HP is installing here, beside me, that this is drving me crazy.

Share with me your thoughts !

I thank you so much !

Will keep you updated on progress (i might write my experience on a separate post ? My HP is suuuper nice !!)

Ciao
