[Guide] Booting the OS X installer on LAPTOPS with Clover

Kexts are folders, but when you use Finder they are treated like files. Copy the kext to EFI/Clover/kexts/Other.

So is this link the right one: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-fakesmc-kozlek/downloads? I've unzipped it and placed the FakeSMC.kext to Other folder. I'll redo this. And will see what happens.

Well, finally able to get into the setup. But now another problem. It can not detect my hard disk. Tried an external ssd. Made 2 partition by Windows disk management. In os x setup tried to erase 2nd partion, but it says it can not erase. What to do?

You should use Disk Utility to partition the disk.

Whenever i try to use the command to create the partitions using the MBR method, it says The size (200Mi) must be followed a letter suffix ("B", "K", "M", etc)

Edit: I deleted the "i" in the command after the 200M

Ok. Wiped out the entire external ssd. And the OS X installed fine. Thanks a lot RehabMan for your continuous support. It is 4am here, so enough for today. Next task is to install clover bootloader to SSD.

Quite old. It could be that the options for specifying size in diskutil are different in Lion...

Refer to Apple documentation for diskutil.

trying to install on my PCspecialist laptop. clover working fine but when i try and boot into the installer this happens and nothing else?
