[Guide] Booting the OS X installer on LAPTOPS with Clover

make sure to use a usb2.0 stick

It's not the USB stick I was using the same stick without any problem on my Laptop and PC...

With the default EFI folder created by unibeast i get the problem
with the 8470p EFI Folder wich is similar to mine it crashed i figured out that the ssdt.aml makes it crash removing that results in acpi parcing failure ...

I read the last few pages here and one guy seems to have the same problem with the "AppleUsbHostRessources" problem
How did he fixed his it's not really clear how he solved or even if he solved the issue.

Do I need a specific clover config.plist for the intel hd 3000 to boot the installer?
The kext files like fakesmc, etc. I used the pre ones and the updated ones it's the same.

hd3000 is not supported on Mojave, you can use High Sierra

You can find all the files needed and the picture in the zip below. I also fixed the profile.

a) When I try to boot with with CSM enabled I get an error allocating pages at 0x260 or something like that. If you need a picture just tell me and I will upload it here. So I need to calculate the slide. The problem is that HP doesn't implement all the functions of the UEFI so I can't launch any shell. (Clover's shell doesn't launch, it's stuck on the underscore sign)

Try different "aptio fix" solutions. Details in post #1.
Also, may be USB problem... read FAQ/etc regarding FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext. Make sure you try all USB ports. Make sure you're using a USB2 stick.

Hey Guys ,

HP Elitebook 8560p (i7 2620m) no gpu

I'm not able to boot the installer at all, stuck at 50% loading then Logo goes to stop sign thats it.
I can't boot with the similar 8470p EFI Folder editing the config won't help.

I always work with unibeast had never problems with it. I was almost always able to boot the installer!
With my Lenovo Y50-70 np and for my PC with MSI Z370-A-Pro motherboard i had to add specific kext file for it to boot.

There is no helpfull Guide to find at this point i read all of them and used all different EFI Folders the problem is the same stuck at 50% ...

Am i missing some kext or settings in my clover config to boot? Config are default, prekext and updated kext give me the same.

verbose gives me "AppleUsbHostRessources" repeating 5-10 times then stuck there.
Should i use an usb 2.0 stick i thought usb 3.0 is down 2.0 compatible ...

Per post #1, use USB2 stick.

Yes, I already tired that but I found out that this notebook has the same problem I had with my ProBook 4540s: corrupted Intel ME so I need to reflash the BIOS via programmer but I don't have right screws so I will leave it like this. The Elitebook is not mine...Anyway, thanks for the advices and as always the BEST advice is: "Please read post #1 again."

"Still waiting for root device"... indicates USB problem when booting from USB.
Try all USB ports.
Try without USBInjectAll.kext.

@RehabMan , i did but no difference also i have 4xUSB-ports: 2xleft and 2xright ... i cant boot with the left ones because i'm not able to go to bootoptions it freezes until i unplug the USB Stick so i load the right USB ports so then i tried when the USB error happens to plug usb out and in but nothing but if i plug in on the left side after the USB error it will continue loading!? shortly after the text keeps on going and disappears then i get a black screen bot no installer is showing. I have updated the Bios the latest already. Tried also the sleep wake+fn function but nothing. I have a second 8560p model which behaves the same way. I'm clueless now .

I try to recreate the Stick with Unibeast (i want Sierra because it's the most stable for me) and i will check my Bios settings again.
