You did not follow the guide correctly:
i have removed config.plist and added "config_HD3000_1366x768" and renamed it to config.plist. did i find something wrong? You did not follow the guide correctly:
- drivers64UEFI is missing OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi.
- GenericUSBXHCI.kext may not be a good choice (you should focus on using USB2 flash media in USB2 port)
- your profile does not include screen resolution. Therefore, no way to know if your config.plist is correct.
But "still waiting for root device" indicates a USB problem. Try all USB2 ports, use USB2 media.

No idea... As written in my previous response, your profile does not provide information on your screen resolution.i have removed config.plist and added "config_HD3000_1366x768" and renamed it to config.plist. did i find something wrong?
The USB3 ports are not likely to be supported. Use only the USB2 port.my laptop has just one usb2 and 2 usb3 ports.
No need to setup internet when in the installer (unnecessary risk).I was able to boot into el capital, set up my keyboard, choose language, set up internet. I get past the internet set up screen and then a dark gray screen appears then the spinning car wheel and then my computer restarts. My laptop restarts everytime i boot into my target hard drive.
Make sure you have the correct Ethernet drivers installed. See links in FAQ.I got past that internet setup screen, after I selected this mac does not connect to ethernet.
Yes. All setup must be the same (config.plist, HFSPlus.efi, drivers64UEFI, kexts, etc). Also, during post-installation part of the guide, when installing clover to the hard drive, do I select the same options for clover hard drive as I did for clover USB ?
Not possible to boot UEFI if your BIOS doesn't have it. Seems as if you're misinformed about your BIOS capabilities.I see, i did not know that. I have only selected the same files for clover but ai did not do config.plist and HFSaplus.efi and drivers64UEFI. By the way, to get into el capitan installation, I had to do the entire guide formatting my USB using UEFI GPT partition instead of legacy MBR. I so not understand why but UEFI seemed to work even though i have a legacy bios laptop.
Desktop build off-topic, irrelevant. Also, I have yosemite installed with wifi but the graphics is very laggy and choppy like an old 1998 computer. I have a AMD R7 260X on my deaktop. I installed 2 kexts (forgot from where) and ai have full QECI and 1080p display. But the problem is the choppy GPU responsiveness. I managed to get smooth graphics working with full QECI and 1080p resolution but I forgot what boot flags I used. In insanelymac chat, a user told me to take out safe mode -x which I did and that time it worked perfectly, I just dont know what combination of boot flags made the desktop graphics work perfectly before. The desktop build was intel core i7 3930k AMD R7 260X and intel c606 chipset GA-X79S-UP5-WIFI Any guidance ?
