  • Laptop Configuration
This guide is for clean installation of Mojave 10.14 on Asus Zenbook Flip UX360CA (Skylake Core m3-6Y30). It comes with 8gb of ram. I am running the latest BIOS version 3000. It has iGPU Intel HD515 and no dGPU. It also has Intel 8260 network card and Microsoft Precision Touchpad.

  • What I got working
Nvram, Full Graphics QE/CI, Keyboard, Sound (Speakers, Jack, Mic), Screen Brightness Control, Battery Indicator, Touchpad, App Store

  • BIOS Settings
Wake on Lid Open -> Disabled
Intel Virtualization Technology -> Enabled
Intel AES-NI -> Enabled
Vt-d -> Disbaled
Graphics Configuration -> DVMT Pre-Allocated -> 64M
USB Configuration -> Legacy USB Support -> Enabled
Fast Boot -> Disabled
Launch CSM -> Disabled
Secure Boot Menu -> Secure Boot Control -> Disabled

  • Preparing USB Bootable Media
I used the following guide by RehabMan to create the bootable installation media :

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Kexts used : FakeSMC, VoodooPS2Controller, USBInjectAll, Lilu, WhateverGreen
Config.plist used : config_HD515_520_530_540.plist

  • Installing MacOS
Use the same Rehabman's guide listed in the previous section to wipe the SSD clean and install MacOS Mojave. This time you need to refer post #2 and "Notes on HDD install" in post #1. Once Clover is installed in the SSD, laptop should boot without the flash drive. At this point in time, you should have Graphics (QE/CI), Nvram, Keyboard, USB ports (both USB 2 & 3) working. I am using TPLink TL-WN725N USB WiFi adapter for wifi since the Intel 8260 wifi card is not going to work in MacOS. For me, the wifi experience is nice so I did not replace the Intel card, although it can be replaced by a compatible card to get it working in MacOS.
  • Getting Sound Working
I installed VooDooHDA and got the speakers, headphone jack and mic working.
  • Getting Brightness Control Working
I followed RehabMan's guide to get the Screen Brightness Controls working through System Preferences :

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-laptop-backlight-control-using-applebacklightinjector-kext.218222/

Once, the Brightness Controls are working in System Preferences, I remapped the keys to Increase/Decrease display brightness through System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcut -> Display to F5 and F6.
  • Getting Battery Status Working
You will need to learn how to patch your laptop's DSDT.aml . Read this guide :
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/

What I did was patched the following Asus-N55SL patch in my DSDT :
https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/blob/master/battery/battery_ASUS-N55SL.txt

...and installed the ACPIBatteryManager.kext to /L/E that can be downloaded from here :
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-how-to-patch-dsdt-for-working-battery-status.116102/
  • Getting Touchpad Working
This can be iffy. I installed VooDooI2C+HID kexts in poling mode along with the recommended DSDT patches :
https://github.com/alexandred/VoodooI2C
https://voodooi2c.github.io/#Installation/Installation
Apparently, GPIO mode will not work owing to Asus's buggy implementation

I also disabled AppleIntelLPSSI2C and AppleIntelLPSSI2CController kexts by including coolstar's 2 patches in my config.plist :
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/voodooi2c-help-and-support.243378/page-53#post-1785006

I also had to disable the touchscreen. Honorable mention to cowcowpod's guide (it is for sky lake though) :
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-macos-sierra-10-12-6-on-the-ux360ca-ah51t.235494/
I used SSDT-XSTA.aml from the guide and also included the TPL0_STA>XSTA rename patch in my config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/patches
