[Guide] Asus ROG GL502VS (Skylake, i7-6700HQ, GTX 1070) Sierra 10.12.4

Not open for further replies.
I would like to say that I followed this guide and managed to install High Sierra 10.13 on a similar laptop (GL502VM , same CPU but has a 1060).
Almost same exact steps and working things as yours, except I had to install an AppleHDA kext for ALC255 for audio. The kext for the trackpad makes my system bootloop and I had to remove it via terminal in Recovery.
Any news about screen brightness? I'm not keen to follow the various guides RehabMan has posted around since they all specify they need an Intel card to work, and this particular laptop has NOT an Intel card (it maybe has onto the motherboard, but it's deeply disabled and cannot be used nor even detected by anything). I didn't find any guide or info about enabling brightness control over a Nvidia-only laptop. I'm kinda lost.
Also: if I'd like to get the Wi-Fi card, since it's M.2, I will have to remove my SSD since it's M.2? Is it possible to have 2 M.2 slots?
Thanks a lot for everything guys and thanks safar46 for this guide!

Start with "Brightness Fix" patch. Then research what you need to inject to get the connector detected as "internal/LVDS". You might refer to some of the DSDT patches for older Nvidia chips that are present in my laptop patch repo on github.

First of all I am new to mackintoshes so sorry in advance for any stupidity on my side:)
Hi there I got exactly the same machine as in this tutorial but apart from the touchpad also my sound is not working. followed all steps without(at least I hope so) any mistakes.
What do you need of me to be Abe to help me(Maybe dsdt or ssdt?)
Cheers
Paul

You should fix your profile.

my specs are exactly the same as in the starting post. Apart from that also upload the kextstat output here

So I hope that now I have understood the FAQ correctly

Your profile still lacks important details.
There are 7 requested details in the FAQ.
You have provided two.

I hope now I understood you correctly I added my mobo config as well as my ioreg as a zip file as well as terminal output for the following:
Pauls-MBP:~ anonymous$
