Hey,
I don't really have a poblem with running macOS right now, but I was wondering, if any of you, owners of the K501UQ, would be able to send me a backup of the BIOS (more specifically the EC firmware -- somehow it got corrupted)?

Not sure how to backup BIOS, really, but you probably should get it from vendor.
...huh, ASUS removed that model from site. Well, found it in another region. https://www.asus.com/my/Laptops/K501UQ/HelpDesk_BIOS/

Yeah, I fonud that link, that's not the problem.. it's that the bios and embedded controller firmware are stored on the same chip, but it got corrupted, so i updated the BIOS portion of it with the newest bios from their site -- but for me to write the BIOSI had to erase the whole chip, including the EC firmware, which isn't available for download.
If there is a possibility i'd be really thankful, if someone with a K501UQ could make a backup of their flash chip (BIOS and EC Firmware, or just the EC Firmware, because that's the part that i need).
