Ive ordered another Auo v4 for my 4530s. Now i was going to order the same Dual link LVDS cable what i got for my 4540s. Is it the same cable?

The 4530s uses a different cable than the 4540s. Read post #1.

Yeah thats what i thought. i searched 646274-001. No luck finding it on eBay or amazon in the UK. But isn't this LVDA cable from a HP 4730s?

The 4730s has 1600x900 display which requires a dual-link cable, so... yes it is the same cable.

You can purchase it directly from HP.

So I've just ordered the Cable from HP. You can still order the cable even in 2016 which is sweet.

i had my 4530s fully working with the screen upgrade but had a hard drive fail and have replaced it with a new ssd. i have booted using clover but when i get to the install screen its all funny colour and i can only see have a screen so i can't see what to click etc. please can you help me

Id say thats either a issue with the screen or cable. or maybe the cable has come unseated.

Did you use the correct config.plist (HD3000 1600x900)?

Just some insight i might put out there if any of you guys are from the UK. You can only buy a nice clean Auo V4 screen from wholesalers now which don't have any dead pixels. Not sure about other countries.

Im interested in doing this upgrade on my probook 4530s - Im struggling to find the screen though in the UK.

is is specifically the v4 screen that you must use or are other varients OK? - I have found a v7 however unsure it will be suitable.

does anyone have any links for UK stock?
