Likemike, Can you provide images or a video to the original post how to change the cable and the screen out? Mainly the cable since you have to take the whole top off. And another thing, I have my screen and cable coming by wednesday, I will let you know everything I bought so you can update you table. But plz show us how to change out the cable...
Thanks in advanced...

...

to change the cable you have to remove the top cover, there is no other way.

I already know that, but thanks anyway :?

I'm sorry but I can't take photos for you. In the guide I already wrote that I broke the inner holdings of the screen cover and had to glue it. It would be a high risk to break it again. If this would happen I'd have to pay 100 Euro for a new screen cover.

Very sorry but I won't risk this. But I can tell you that it is easy going to change the cable. When you've got the top cover open you'll see the screen and camera cable on the left side. These are the only cables which are on the left side. The screen cable is the One with the bigger plug. Just replace the cable with the new one which has the same plug.

Maybe you could take some photos when you change it.

No problem man, and yes I will take some pics. But I posted a video you could use for your original post...

LikeMike, you can update your table where you only got an item number

Item ID: 248546 would be the same item as LP156WF1(TL)(F3).

, sorry man I was buzzed when I posted that not paying attention, I'm only trying to help... But yeah that info was straight from a pre-sales associate I was chatting with about the screen I ordered.

I ordered:

BIOS - f.20
DSDT - Saved this dsdt from BlueKing in the extra folder, renamed dsdt1080.aml. Shutdown, installed the new screen , got to the bootloader, and typed (DSDT=/Extra/dsdt1080.aml). Fired right up

So you can confirm the screen mod works on the A7K05UT model with the NON alinc cable?

I just ordered the A7K05UT model from amazon today and these parts for the screen upgrade:

Screen: AUO B156HW01 v4
Cable: 646274-001

But I was getting worried because someone else here was having problems and needed the more expensive cable to get it to work. Also would you mind sharing your patched DSDT with me for the A7K05UT? We have the same model and it would save me some time, THANKS!
