PRE-INSTALATION

BIOS SETTINGS:

IMG_1605.jpeg

I format my USB, using Terminal

diskutil list ->Identify your disk number, in my case it was disk3 (BE CAREFUL WITH THIS STEP)

sudo diskutil eraseDisk JHFS+ USB /dev/disk3 ->This command formats the SSD in HFS+ Journaled format and calls it USB. (write your password and press enter)

In UniBeast, select Legacy Mode and no injection of graphics.

I also use my DSDT.aml used in Sierra, that I have downloaded it from DSDT Base from here.

I also copy the Lilu, AppleALC, FakeSMC, RealtekRTL8111, WhatEverGreen and USBInjectAll kexts to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.14 (you can also copy them to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other)

I format the SSD with Terminal using this:

diskutil list ->Identify your disk number, in my case it was disk0 (BE CAREFUL WITH THIS STEP)

sudo diskutil eraseDisk JHFS+ SSD /dev/disk0 ->This command formats the SSD in HFS+ Journaled format and calls it SSD. (write your password and press enter)

INSTALLATION

Press F12 when the computer starts to boot select, select Hard Disk and then USB-HDD. In Clover, I selected the USB boot.

Now, it is time to install Mojave. The installation process is normal.

When I launch the Installer, I do not format the SSD (it was already formatted). I just select it and start installing. PC rebooted and booted again with the USB.

At the beginning, my SSD is not recognized and I fix it copying the apfs.efi file to EFI/CLOVER/drivers64 in EFI partition of USB. I used this tutorial:

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-to-update-current-and-past-apfs-efi-downloads.236103/

POST-INSTALLATION

I install Clover rev4630 (as UniBeast) to get work both systems. (Mojave and Sierra, Windows always works) The link is provided here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/files/Installer/

Then, choose Clover_v2.4k_r4630.zip

I install it with this options:

Screenshot 2018-11-25 at 22.15.16.png

Screenshot 2018-11-25 at 22.17.56.png

Then, I reboot my PC and boot from USB again.

I mount, through Terminal, the EFI partition of USB using this command:

diskutil list ->Identify your disk number, in my case it was disk1 (BE CAREFUL WITH THIS STEP)

sudo diskutil mount /dev/disk1s1 (write your password and press enter)

I copy all files to my Desktop (boot0, EFI folder and nvram.plist)

I unmount the EFI partition in USB using this:

sudo diskutil unmount /dev/disk1s1

After that, I mount the EFI partition in Mojave using this command:

sudo diskutil mount EFI

Then, I delete all files in EFI partition and copy all files in Desktop to EFI partition. Later, I unmount the EFI partition using:

sudo diskutil unmount EFI

I reboot the computer and realised that boot0 file was corrupted so I copied the boot0 file from Sierra EFI to Mojave EFI.

I format the USB with Terminal using this:

diskutil list ->Identify your disk number, in my case it was disk3 (BE CAREFUL WITH THIS STEP)

sudo diskutil eraseDisk JHFS+ USB /dev/disk3 ->This command formats the USB to HFS+ Journaled and names it USBD. (write your password and press enter) I use this to have my usb back from installer.

Ethernet

It is working because I am using RealtekRTL8111.kext, provided here.

Sound

Motherboard

This motherboard uses ALC889a codec audio. Copy AppleALC.kext and Lilu.kext to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

In Clover Configurator, go to Devices section. In Audio, Inject, write 1. Also mark the ResetHDA option.

Also need the "-alcbeta" argument in Boot section.

Graphic card

First of all, you have to copy the WhatEverGreen.kext and Lilu.kext (if you have already copied it, you don't have to copy again) to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

Set no injection in Clover Configurator. I mean, in Clover Configurator:

Boot section:

Add "-wegbeta" in boot args.

Graphics section:

System Parameters section:

HDMI sound
Write "-wegbeta -alcbeta" (without quotes) in boot args.

Wifi card is working with the web drivers provided by tp-link, just google it.

Bluetooth is working natively. I use a generic USB adapter.

I upload my config.plist, DSDT.aml and my kexts files in zip format and if you have any doubts, do not hesitate and ask me!

Hello everyone, I have updated to Mojave 14.2 successfully. Here we go:

The installation part is the same in my first post in this thread, so I will focus in the post-installation part.

First results, no motherboard sound and no HDMI sound.

I have to remove the Lilu.kext, WhatEverGreen.kext and AppleALC.kext from EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

Then, I download the new Lilu, Whatevergreen and AppleALC kexts and copy them to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

I realized that motherboard sound works but HDMI doesn't, so I decided to change the injection of sound. I have tried with all layouts (1, 12, 15) for the 885 codec (it is the same codec as 889a) with no success.

To have HDMI sound working, remove the AppleALC.kext from EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other and reboot.

Download the last VoodooHDA.kext from here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/voodoohda/files/

Copy it to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

In Clover Configurator, go to Devices and, in Audio section, set Inyect to No.

If you have followed my previous guide, in Clover Configurator, go to Boot section and delete all custom flags, you don't need anymore.

Reboot, and that's all!!
