PRE-INSTALATION

BIOS SETTINGS:

IMG_1603.jpeg
IMG_1604.jpeg
IMG_1605.jpeg

I format my USB, using Terminal

diskutil list ->Identify your disk number, in my case it was disk3 (BE CAREFUL WITH THIS STEP)

sudo diskutil eraseDisk JHFS+ USB /dev/disk3 ->This command formats the SSD in HFS+ Journaled format and calls it USB. (write your password and press enter)

In UniBeast, select Legacy Mode and no injection of graphics.

I also use my DSDT.aml used in Sierra, that I have downloaded it from DSDT Base from here.

I also copy the Lilu, AppleALC, FakeSMC, RealtekRTL8111, WhatEverGreen and USBInjectAll kexts to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.14 (you can also copy them to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other)

I format the SSD with Terminal using this:

diskutil list ->Identify your disk number, in my case it was disk0 (BE CAREFUL WITH THIS STEP)

sudo diskutil eraseDisk JHFS+ SSD /dev/disk0 ->This command formats the SSD in HFS+ Journaled format and calls it SSD. (write your password and press enter)

INSTALLATION

Press F12 when the computer starts to boot select, select Hard Disk and then USB-HDD. In Clover, I selected the USB boot.

Now, it is time to install Mojave. The installation process is normal.

When I launch the Installer, I do not format the SSD (it was already formatted). I just select it and start installing. PC rebooted and booted again with the USB.

At the beginning, my SSD is not recognized and I fix it copying the apfs.efi file to EFI/CLOVER/drivers64 in EFI partition of USB. I used this tutorial:

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-to-update-current-and-past-apfs-efi-downloads.236103/

POST-INSTALLATION

I install Clover rev4630 (as UniBeast) to get work both systems. (Mojave and Sierra, Windows always works) The link is provided here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/files/Installer/

Then, choose Clover_v2.4k_r4630.zip

I install it with this options:

Screenshot 2018-11-25 at 22.14.52.png

Screenshot 2018-11-25 at 22.15.16.png

Screenshot 2018-11-25 at 22.17.56.png

Then, I reboot my PC and boot from USB again.

I mount, through Terminal, the EFI partition of USB using this command:

diskutil list ->Identify your disk number, in my case it was disk1 (BE CAREFUL WITH THIS STEP)

sudo diskutil mount /dev/disk1s1 (write your password and press enter)

I copy all files to my Desktop (boot0, EFI folder and nvram.plist)

I unmount the EFI partition in USB using this:

sudo diskutil unmount /dev/disk1s1

After that, I mount the EFI partition in Mojave using this command:

sudo diskutil mount EFI

Then, I delete all files in EFI partition and copy all files in Desktop to EFI partition. Later, I unmount the EFI partition using:

sudo diskutil unmount EFI

I reboot the computer and realised that boot0 file was corrupted so I copied the boot0 file from Sierra EFI to Mojave EFI.

I format the USB with Terminal using this:

diskutil list ->Identify your disk number, in my case it was disk3 (BE CAREFUL WITH THIS STEP)

sudo diskutil eraseDisk JHFS+ USB /dev/disk3 ->This command formats the USB to HFS+ Journaled and names it USBD. (write your password and press enter) I use this to have my usb back from installer.

Ethernet

It is working because I am using RealtekRTL8111.kext, provided here.

Sound

Motherboard

This motherboard uses ALC889a codec audio. Copy AppleALC.kext and Lilu.kext to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

In Clover Configurator, go to Devices section. In Audio, Inject, write 1. Also mark the ResetHDA option.

Captura de pantalla 2018-11-27 a las 12.01.07.png

Also need the "-alcbeta" argument in Boot section.

Captura de pantalla 2018-11-26 a las 19.24.01.png

Graphic card

First of all, you have to copy the WhatEverGreen.kext and Lilu.kext (if you have already copied it, you don't have to copy again) to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

Set no injection in Clover Configurator. I mean, in Clover Configurator:

Boot section:

Add "-wegbeta" in boot args.

Graphics section:

Captura de pantalla 2018-11-26 a las 2.42.01.png

System Parameters section:

HDMI sound
Write "-wegbeta -alcbeta" (without quotes) in boot args.

Captura de pantalla 2018-11-26 a las 20.02.06.png

Wifi card is working with the web drivers provided by tp-link, just google it.

Bluetooth is working natively. I use a generic USB adapter.

I upload my config.plist, DSDT.aml and my kexts files in zip format and if you have any doubts, do not hesitate and ask me!

Hello everyone, I have updated to Mojave 14.2 successfully. Here we go:

377597

377594

377596

The installation part is the same in my first post in this thread, so I will focus in the post-installation part.

First results, no motherboard sound and no HDMI sound.

HDMI SOUND THROUGH Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext

Mount EFI partition.

Download the last Lilu.kext, AppleALC.kext and WhatEverGreen.kext and copy them to EFI/EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other (if you have a previous version of them, just delete them).

Reboot.

At first attempt, I have no HDMI sound. I am going to explain how to solve this problem.

I have downloaded Hackintool for Mac (its previous name is FB-Patcher).

Make sure your machine loads those kexts.

383508

Once they are loaded, go to sound subsection and select layout 1.

383509

Now, go to Patch section. In Patch Options, select Devices/ Properties on the left side, then select Audio on the right side.

383511

Go to Advanced in Patch Options and select DP->HDMI.

383512

Now, click on Generate Patch. You should see something in Patch Output. Select the text in output from <key>Devices</key> to the last </dict> but one.

Beginning:

383514

Ending:

383515

Once you have selected the text, copy it. Now open config.plist with PlistEdit Pro app, you should see something like that:

383516

On the foot of this program, we can see the written code. Go to Devices in this part.

383518

Now, paste the copied text from Hackintool here, like this:

383519

Select File and Save.

Go to Clover Configurator and set this configuration:

Boot Section: No boot flags

383520

Devices Section: Set Inject to NO and select ResetHDA

383521

Properties subsection: (I can see what I have copied)

383523

Graphics section:

383526

Reboot computer. That's all!!

383527

383529

I hope you like this new method!

5.1/7.1 SOUND (AppleALC.kext)

I have bought 5.1 speakers, with subwoofer. So I decided to test them in Hackintosh.

To make them work, all you need to do is going to Finder->Utilities->Audio MIDI Setup

Screenshot 2019-01-31 at 11.16.01.png

Now, press + and then Create MultiOutput Device

Choose as Master Device Built-in Output. Then, select Built-in Output and the two Build-in Line Output. (three for 7.1)

Screenshot 2019-01-31 at 11.18.39.png

Go to Preferences->Sound. In Output section, select Multi-Output Device. That's all!

Note: It is NOT real 5.1 sound (or 7.1). This makes that all speakers sound.

Hello everybody, I have successfully updated to 14.3

385705

385706

385707

385712

Update from MacApp Store and the only thing is not working is the sound.

I realise that WhatEverGreen.kext is not needed anymore. So I remove it from EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other and I also delete the flag "-wegbeta" in Clover Configurator, at Boot section. (See in Sound part)

385714

SOUND (AppleALC.kext)

Go to Library/Extensions and delete HDMIEnabler.kext

Go to System/Library/Extensions and delete HDMIEnabler.kext

Download this Lili.kext and AppleALC.kext from here:

Lilu 1.3.3.RELEASE.zip 250 KB
AppleALC 1.3.5.RELEASE.zip 988 KB

Go to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other and delete HDMIEnabler.kext , Lili.kext and AppleALC.kext and copy the two downloaded kexts in the same folder.

In Clover Configurator, use this config:

In Boot Section:

Add alcid=1 and -alcbeta

385708

Only if you follow my previous guide, in Devices section

385709

385715

Reboot and that's it!

UPDATE TO 14.4

With the new version of Clover, you can update to 10.14.4 through Mac App.

Screenshot 2019-05-09 at 00.39.31.png

Update the Lilu and AppleALC kexts.

Download Lili.kext and AppleALC.kext from here:

Lilu 1.3.5
AppleALC 1.3.7

Go to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other and delete Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext and copy the two downloaded kexts in the same folder.

Reboot.

Download and install Mac OS Mojave 14.4 through Mac App.

Everything is working properly.

Hi, I don't use it. Every hard disk is connected through sata. Use the BIOS settings on the op.

Greetings.
