Hi All,

I'm having issues getting my new skylake build to work with the GTX 970

Clover boot
System Type: 17,1
El Capitan 10.11.5
nvidia 346.03.10f02 driver
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H170M-DS3H
Memory: 16gb Crucial CT2K8G4DFD8213 pair
CPU: Intel Core I7-6700 3.4ghz
Graphics: EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB SC GAMING ACX 2.0
OS Drive: Samsung 850 PRO 256GB
Power: Corsair cs550m

Set bios settings to current Skylake guide settings found here on tonymac. Used clover USB for install and newest multibeast with settings recommended for the board. Everything works fine including the intel 530 graphics without 970 installed.

With the 970 installed and "nvda_drv=1" disabled it does boot fine but the graphics are all wonky. Crazy refresh, things skipping all over the screen. Wild.

If I enable the "nvda_drv=1" option it will not boot. With verbose off screen just goes black and machine is frozen. With verbose on the screen still goes blank right after successful ethernet messages. When this happens you can hear the motherboard/fans make sounds like it's rebooting but it never reboots.

I've also attemped the agdpfix without luck.

Any help you can give would be great.

I've attached my plist.config for reference. Please let me know if I can supply any more information that will help.

Thanks!

As stated above. I fixed this with the "Clover Shell > bcfg boot rm XX > create custom boot option > rename boot folder" described in the above thread. Thanks.

I think you linked the wrong thread.
