Im looking to setup my hackintosh. I have a Four monitor setup i wanted to know which graphics card would be better and easier to setup with all my monitors.
R9 390 or GTX 970 and which vendor should i get. I really the MSI Gaming cards. However i dont mind going with other vendors such as gigabyte ,evga or Asus.

EVGA and Sapphire are the most dependable brands in general for GPU's. I would take a look at the buyers guide next time, there's always a link on the home page, go with nVidia also they list EVGA in the buyers guide. If you want to use other parts not on the buyers guide I highly recommend you read through as many threads as you can that used those components before investing.

The 390 is a 290 with doubled VRAM and the 290 was a rebranded 7xxx series card.
If you are not going to be using FCPX go with the nVidia GPU and use the nVidia web drivers.

This.

A lot of people are really pissed off with AMD taking 2 years to dole out a flagship GPU and 5 years to get HBM memory out the door only to release a rebranded 2xx series card thats essentially a rebranded 7xxx series card.

KitGuru did a good review on the AMD Fury:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFWgc8qjQwk

After AMD saw this, they pulled the card from being sent to him for review because of his *honest* review as AMD deemed it negative.

Jayz2cents did a review of it as well:

Linus Tech Tips did a review too:

The card is really underwhelming. AMD really needs to step up their game otherwise the lack of competition is going to stagnate progress of better GPUs and even CPUs (since they dont do so well in that area either).

Not only that, it runs loud, hot and consumes a lot more power than the Nvidia equivalent.

AS FOR THE R9 390....
