GTX 660 glitch issue with MacOS High Sierra 10.13

After the supplemental update, I still have artifacts, no change.

Update: After another restart, the artifacts are gone, at least for the last couple of hours, hopefully it's fixed.

Update 2: the artifacts are back, update didn't fix the problem.

I spent days trying to figure out a fix... every time i thought it was fixed i would launch an Adobe CC app and the screen would go crazy.

I've had strange NVIDIA problems since Sierra (lots of crashes in Photoshop & Lightroom). Since the issue still exists in the 10.13.1 beta, I don't have faith apple will fix it any time soon.

With 10.12.6 the Polaris cards (AMD RX 5xxx) seem to be the best bet for future compatibility (IMHO).

I edited a video in imovie yesterday. While I was working the artifacts began to show up. I finished the edit and then exported the movie to a new file. When I watched the movie on a separate computer the artifacts were present meaning that the artifacts were rendered into the new movie file. I redid it when the artifacts were not present and the new file was without artifacts.

I don't understand how that is possible but am hoping someone will.

In the meantime I have found that if I keep the displays windows open and just change the refresh rate each time the artifacts start popping up, I am able to continue to work with much trouble.

It works without glitches :)
I can confirm that enabling Intel HD in efi is the key.

bdmesg
Code:
7:807  0:000  Intel HD Graphics 2500 [8086:0152] :: PcieRoot(0x0)\Pci(0x2,0x0)
7:807  0:000    Found Ultra XGA Display - 4:3 :: Width=1600 Height=1200
7:807  0:000    DualLink: set to 1
7:807  0:000    AAPL00,DualLink = 1
7:807 0:000 FakeID Intel GFX: not set
7:807  0:000    ig-platform-id = 0x01660004
7:807 0:000 Beginning Intel GFX auto-detection with ACPI injection

I had not only to enable integrated graphics but also to set bios to init IDG first. This way I cannot see anything unit macos inits nvidia gpu, but when I set bios to init nvidia first then macos restarts while booting just before starting graphics (Normally I use the verbose mode). I don't know why.

My system is GA-H87N-WIFI\i5 4670K\GTX 660 TI with iMac14.2 definition. I has been working solid for couple years and survived upgrades every time. Now I just upgraded to High Sierra 10.13 and the glitching started. Never had any issues before.

I can confirm that enabling the Intel GPU in the UEFI Bios and Inject Intel in Clover makes an improvement. Unfortunately the glitching starts after a while. I even had a complete system freeze few times, which required hard shutdown with the power button. Glitching happens with the native drivers and the Nvidia Web drivers as well.

Hopefully someone can figure out a fix soon.

Are you using 4k display?

I tried all the solutions above, nothing works. But I found a workaround:

If you switch your resolution to native resolution (for example 3840x2160), without "scaling" for HiDPI, the glitch won't appear for hours (before it's ~ 10min).

In addition, you can use SwitchResX to change resolution to 1920x1080, it last even longer, and text won't be too small, no HiDPI though, but at least it's useable.

Nope, not 4K. I have 2 monitors - 27" and 25", both are 1920x1080 already.

It works without glitches :)
