I'm having trouble with my first hackintosh! Can't get ML to boot from harddrive. I noticed the version of Multibeast used in this build is different than the current version, the check boxes are different. I need the settings for the current version. I tried selecting the check boxes based on the example in this build but it's not working out. The computer gets stuck during boot up at the white apple screen with the progress wheel going round and round with a lined out circle above that. My build is the exact build as the MKBHD hackintosh on You tube. He refers to this build as the instructions to follow. I'm getting closer just need a little more help.

I had the same issue, if you tried to enable OpenCl by replacing the libclh.dylib file located in /System/Library/Extensions "GeForceGLDriver.bundle", undo this to regain the use of preview.

Do not use the steps below to enable OpenCl!

Thank you! this worked

If your build is exactly like this one then go a page or 2 back in this forum where I posted my instructions. It was for Mavericks but it's the same as Mountain Lion I believe. You might have to boot from your flashdrive to get in to install it.

cpus=1 GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x2000 -v

That is what I had to type in at the beginning to be able to get in to actually install all the stuff with multibeast.

Here is link to another post on the forum which helped me get my build working. Please note this post focuses on Mavericks which of course is free. http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...igabyte-x79-up4-3930k-gtx-690-ocz-vertex.html

If you are getting the boot0 Error follow this guide. http://www.tonymacx86.com/25-boot0-error-official-guide.html

This is so frustrating! Ok, I installed the multibeast settings like you said. A couple multibeast settings being 10.8 instead of 10.9. Changed the files in the extra folder to what you had. Not sure if this has to be done in just the extra boot folder or boot and bios folder. I changed both keeping the language unchanged for the rest of the file contents. The only thing I didn't do was install the kextbeast files you mentioned. I don't know how to create or where to get these files to put them on the desktop so that I can use kextbeast. I tried to reboot to the harddrive minus the kext files but no go. The screen shows a bunch of white colored command lines and stops. I'm stuck again. I built a few windows computers for myself back in the day but this is a lot more going on with this build. I'm leaving town for the holidays so when I get back I'll be looking forward to trying any suggestions. Sure hope this supposedly easy project according to MKBHD'S video doesn't turn into a 2, 000 dollar flying brick out the window cause I'm loosing my patience. :banghead:

It took me forever to get mine working also, it was very frustrating. Take note of where the white text stops at, that is a good place to start. Because it will probably stop at the same spot and then you can research that and find out what is causing it.

I've also attached the two kext that I used. You just put them on your desktop and then run Kextbeast (which i've also included) and it will install them for you. The Voodoo one is to enable all 6 of your cores. and the other one is just for usb 3.0

I don't see why you don't just use 10.9, I got mine working within an hour.

Hi guys. Will the Gigabyte x760 or x770 work with Yo Mang's Sabertooth x79 setup?
