In order to help users who plan on using Final Cut Pro X (FCP) to edit video, this is a benchmark that has been designed to test your GPU and because FCP is Open CL based it should preference AMD cards over Nvidia.
So here are the instructions:
Step 1 Download the XML file
Step 2 Open Quicktime & Open FCP and go to Preferences > Playback > Turn off Background Render
Step 3 Open the XML file (File>Import>XML)
Step 4 Click on the clip and hit the share button (upper right corner)
Step 5 Select Master File > Under Settings select Apple Pro Res 422 (it should have file size estimate of 198 mb)
Step 6 Select Next > Start your timer as soon as you select save and stop it once quicktime opens the video file.
My Results:
Mac OS v10.12.6 beta FCP v10.3.4
MBP Late 2013
2.3 i7, 16 GB Ram, Iris Pro GPU
Time: 68 Seconds
I will create some charts with the results...
