I7 6850K stock
Radeon Vega Frontier Edition - Water-cooled
32 Gb RAM
FCPX 10.4.1
High Sierra 10.13.5

13.5 seconds

Coffee Lake i7-8700K 3,7ghz, AMD RX 580 8gb, Samsung Evo 960 M.2 500gb
macOS 10.13.2, FCPX 10.3.4

just under 16 seconds.

Will try in FCPX 10.4 soon.

It's an Excellent combo for FCPX ! ...V. 10.4.2 I have the same Mb, coffee lake processor. I have the Sapphire Nitro RX580 8 gig card, running 32gb of Crucial Ballistix sport DDR4 memory ram modules. Mac OSX High Sierra 10.13.5 and FCPX 10.4.2 and haven't installed Lilu with Wintergreen yet. I heard these cards are good to go OOTB but for project stability I guess I should install all necessary kexts for Long session integrity.

My score was 15.7 seconds clocked with my Xperia Stopwatch App.

This is why I got into all the extra, mostly for the video editing
