Graphics problem after nVidia web driver update

I just did a nVidia web driver update through the system preferences and now that I've rebooted the PC the login screen is very distorted with indecipherable little squares.

Before the login screen appears, I can see the apple logo with the progress bar without any graphical artifacts. I also tried to boot from my recovery SSD, which sadly hasn't been update for a couple of months, and there everything seems to be working just fine.

Is there a way to update the nVidia driver on my main SSD through the recovery SSD? Any other suggestions on what might work in this situation?

BTW: I'm using the latest MAC OS X version and I've used Clover instead of MultiBeast to set up my Hackintosh.
