I need a new card for my i7 build.

I installed with iBoot supportet, and Multibeast.

X58 Ud5, 6 gb ram, i7 930.

Everything worked fine, but i had to reinstall the old GT7300 in my old Macpro.

I need a quiet card preferably with 1 DVI, and 1 HDMI, that installs without problems.

Thanks

Why not get a HD 5770? It's the same as what's in the new Mac Pros.

I am sorry, what guide.?

I thought, since everything is already installed, i could just plug it in and i would work.
You need to add ATI card support using this guide viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4603

Thanks, appreciate your help.

But....do i have to install everything fresh?
Or is it enough to boot with iBoot Ati.

Thanks.
No, if you have the new card installed, use iBoot ATI-5xxx-3 to boot and follow guide.

Hey,

I went ahead and bought a Gigabyte HD 5770, 1gb Ram.

And i got it working, sort of.

Now it will only boot with the iBoot Ati 3xxx in the cd drive.

What am i missing?

Heres what i did.
In order to install the Ati kext's, i didn't have a working graphics card, i had to mount the system drive on my MBP.
I followed your guide, and in order to repair permissions, i started on the 10.6.3 DVD, with iBoot 3xxx-3.

That seemed to do the trick.

Once everything is booted up, it works fine. And everything is normal.....

Please advise.
