There is not a great way to describe the issue at hand other than by supplying information about my computer and images that I took with my T3i.

CPU: i7 2600K
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P (F7 (Not UEFI))
RAM: 16GB
Main HDD: 1.5TB
OS: 1.8.4 Mountain Lion
Other info: I was having a hard time getting the DSDT working or the Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics to be detected. I have gotten them working to rule those out as the subject of error. I have the display hooked up through the HDMI port on the Gigabyte motherboard with a HDMI to DVI adapter.
Any help would be very welcome.
