Good config for music production and gaming????

Hi all,

Please help me to decide my Hackintosh config for music production and gaming.. Guide me if I can change something....
I don't want overclocking.


i7 3770 processor
Gigabyte z77 ud5h motherboard
8 GB corsair 1600 mph RAM
Seagate 2TB 7200 rpm (I already have 2*1TB External drives)
GTX 550ti graphics card
Cooler master Gladiator Cabin with xtra 3 fans
Belkin wireless keyboard and mouse
M Audio AV 40 speakers

That graphics card is no longer recommended due to some quirky issues in ML.
I'd suggest waiting a bit if you can for the new GTS 650 or GTX 660 cards.

Concur with thelostswede. Your gaming requirement will drive your system components selection.

Also, i'd cut down on the processor, save a hundred or so with the i5 instead of the i7 and up the RAM. Depending on your DAW software, aside from reason, pretty much any other software is going to begin hogging up ram as the audio plugins ramp up, it would become your first bottleneck. if possible, try to pick up a pair of professional monitors (audio monitors that is) if you're going to be mixing.
