The Build
This is my second successful Hackintosh build, but my most successful so far. I didn't have a specific use in mind when I built it, I just wanted something that was powerful and would last me a while. So far I have been using the system for some gaming, video editing, music production, virtualization and java development.

Mountain Lion installation
I already owned a Retina MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion on it, so I used a random 8GB USB thumb drive and UniBeast to make the installation medium. Booted the installer and ran through the installation without any issues. System booted normally and installed MultiBeast with the following settings:

After that the system seemed to be working fine. Graphics were working good, and the overall system speed was awesome. But I hade one problem when using the integrated Intel E1000 network card. Everything worked fine except when I was trying to make video calls with Skype the video and sound lagged so bad that the recipient couldn't understand anything. So I tried changing to the Atheros network card and it fixed the Skype issue. But then I couldn't print to my wireless printer, and my shared network drives would disconnect at random moments. After some research I found a fix for the Intel E1000 network card that fixed the issue, so now I can use that without problems. Here it is http://www.mediafire.com/?r5s399ahtox5hbn

After I got everything working I have updated OS X to 10.8.1 using combo updater without breaking anything.

I, too, have a Fractal Design Define R3 Black Pearl which is the best case silent case I've owned. I am going to get a Fractal Design Define R4 Titanium for my next case. I have a NZXT H2 Silent (White) case which is sooooooo much easier to install components when the interior is white instead of flat black. (I keep losing screws, etc., in the black cases. )

any issues with sleep mode? like when you wake the computer do you get lag? or when you wake from sleep mode do you get your usb drives ejected?

if you don't suffer any of these could you post your BIOS settings so that I can solve these issues?

thanks
