Hi and thanx for visiting!
I tried hackintosh 10.4 tiger a while back and it didnt really work for me (on an older system) !!

since i have a macbook (2007) i still have a real mac to use but if this goes boom betty bye bye i want to have another OSX system working.

PS1.: i dont need yosemite. maybe 10.8.4 is just fine? but how to decide which is best for my hardware ?
PS2.: Yes there are buyer guides, but as i see it these are always just for actuall hardware arent they ?. Havent seen old guides.. ? (remember im new'ish here and i have used the search function) and i dont want to buy everything new if it is possibly to have "good to go" hardware (just not the newest or for the newest system) so i hope you can help me out a bit with your experience or if you have (had) similar (hopefully working) hardware components..

heres my hardware which i already have and which is working with Win7. 64bit.

CPU: i5 2500k 3.3ghz

Mainboard: (have an Asrock Fatat1ty P67 Performance which isnt good for HT(hackintosh)) so im going to buy a Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3 or Z68XP-UD3 or Z68XP-UD4 Motherboard (used) so i can use my other hardware (cheaper ;)) (probably more like one of Z68XP ones) instead of buying new stuff

Ram: 16 GB Corsair Vengeance 4x4 GB

HD: (for OSX/Hackintosh system) 64GB OSZ Agility 3 SSD
HD: Samsung SSD 840 (PC system)
HD: Seagate ST2000 DL003 (just for data)
HD: Seagate ST1500 LM003 (External 2.5" USB HD, data)

Graphic Card: Geforce GTX 680 (Zotac) 2gb (is this ok or should i better buy another Card ???) Havent seen much good infos about it here for HT. Its a great card for the PC and Premiere and Gaming thou.
Ive seen there are some drivers for the mac so hopefully this work work just fine !!!

BD Drive: LG BH10LS30

Firewire card: IEEE 1394 Texas Intruments 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (Firewire is on board on the Z68XP boards so i wont need this most likely)

Sound: RME Fireface 800 (there are mac drivers)

Keyboard: QPAD MK-80 (superb LED Gaming keyboard which is a standard PS/2 Keyboard + USB)
anyway would buy a USB Mac keyboard NP, if this wouldnt work.

Mouse: Mionix NAOS 3200 and Razer Death Adder (the adder has mac drivers as well)

guess thats all ! ??
do you think this would work fine as a HT ?
what would you change eventually ?
which osx would you install ? 10.8.4 most likely ??
Guess Multibeast is the way to go ? ?
Did i miss something ? I dont know,
anyway every little hint/advice you may have is very much appreciated !!
Maybe even someone has a similar system and can send me his DSDT File ?
i have no ides about terminal or unix so i hope i get this running when it comes to DSDT.. ;)
SO far so good ;) Thanx in advance for your knowledge !! ;)

First, read the tonymacx86 Rules & Policies > http://www.tonymacx86.com/faq.php

Second, I recommend you find a used GA-Z68X-UD3H motherboard as this motherboard was the sweet spot for the Ivy Bridge motherboards. I wrote two build descriptions for my two GA-Z68X-UD3H motherboard systems:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/golden-builds/32343-storks-zorro-build-z68x-ud3h-i7-2600k-hd3000.html
http://www.tonymacx86.com/golden-bu...ild-core-i7-2700k-ga-z68x-ud3h-hd-6850-a.html

Third, don't use Mountain Lion 10.8.4, use the last update which is 10.8.5. You can still buy Mountain Lion from the Apple Store for a measly $20 USD. Or you can get the Snow Leopard DVD for $20 from the Apple Store and follow the tonymacx86 installation guide(s) (see Guides menu at top of page).
Snow Leopard (10.6.3): http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A
Mountain Lion: http://store.apple.com/us/product/D6377Z/A/os-x-mountain-lion

Fourth, you can get DSDT's for most Gigabyte 6-series motherboards in the Downloads > DSDT Database (menu at top of the page: http://www.tonymacx86.com/11-dsdt-database.html

Finally, your GTX 680 graphics card should work fine.

6 series boards/2xxx series CPUs are Sandy Bridge, not Ivy Bridge.

yes sandy bridge ;)

read the rules ? I dont know what ive written illegal to read the rules again? Saying Hackingtosh or using NVIdia hardware ? hmm..
SO youre saying i better should go for 10.9 instead of 10.8 even on an 2011 old system like i wanna build?
and theres a difference (incompatibility ?) to better choose a Z68X-UD3H before a Z68X-UD4H ??
Well if so NP, that why i ask here before i buy something .
Anything else ???
GTX 680 is working fine ??
