gIOScreenLockState 3 error on High Sierra with MSI B250I

Hi All,

I'm trying to install High Sierra on MSI B250I with Intel Pentium G4600 (Intel HD 630).
After a successful installation I am getting this error during the first boot:

IOConsoleUsers: time(0) 0->0, lin 0, llk 1,
IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, nov 0, sm 0x0

Flashing on the top of the screen.

Any reckon?

Try going into Clover and changing the FakeID for your inject intel to 0x12345678. This worked for me to fix this issue.

Hi Thielsa,

Yeah the system is booting with that fix but the graphics card (Intel HD 630) is not recognised with this fix.

I had the same issue. I injected lilu and intelgfxfix kexts and then removed the fakeid. Everything worked.

I have a similar board (Z170N-Gaming 5) however something isn't working for me, I was able to boot modifying things to 12345678 however after adding Lilu and Intel fix still boots hung - anyone got any clever ideas?

You have to remove the fake Id flag after injecting the two kexts
