I recall reading somewhere that sound over hdmi is not supported in series 9 motherboards.
But if you do get it working please post your solution.
have you tried the normal audio outputs

My monitor does not have a line in port for sound.

I have tried headphones on the PC SAound socket and nothing

Plugged in a USB sound card and that works fine,

But even with that unless I can get sound over HDMI I am going to have to find external speakers

Im pretty sure that you will have to get external speakers.
Check in your system info for the audio drivers. if its just the apple HDA or whatever it is try installing the audio kexts again and repairing permissions.

Like i said i must if installed those kexts about 5 times. then suddenly after i got my system booting without -x the sound worked

Hey, I made a beautiful install on GA Z97 gaming3 with clover, I have only a single concern the sound if somebody in an idea??
it's work: ethernet; thunderbolt; HD7970; webcam Asus; usb; HDMI
but no song on the port audio
