Gigabyte Z690 Aero G + i5-12600K + AMD RX 6800 XT

partly works I lose hardware acceleration on videoproc converter and Apple TV movies don't work but thanks for the kext.....
So, after I read your post, I checked to see if I had the same problem. I tested Apple TV, movies, series and my library, Photoshop and Premiere using a current 4K project I'm working on; streaming news through Chrome, Amazon Prime, Netflix and Capture one, and I see no problems. Everything is working with no apparent acceleration issues. This is using an AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT, Z790 Aero G, i7-13700 KF. OpenCore 0.9.0, Casey EFI but with the video device properties removed, F5 BIOS, Above 4G MMIO disabled. Geekbench 5, 112093 OpenCL Score, 165571 Metal Score.

For those that have the RX6650XT, 6950 XT and 6900 XT, try this kext and see if it works for you. I disabled my SSDT for my RX6950XT and removed device properties and only injected this kext and it works. My 6950 now shows as that and not any other funny name like it was called before like this - AMD Radeon HD GFX10 Family Unknown Prototype
Is this kext (AMDRadeonNavi2xExt) on GitHub? Curious where you found it?

I found it on another site, tested it myself before sharing it. Not sure if this is on GitHub but I would assume so.

I think its because when using the AMDRadeonNavi2xExt.kext its showing Device ID:0x73af instead of Device ID:0x73bf.so when using the ssdt-brgo and device/property device-id BF730000 vda is fully supported.apple tv
vda decoder all working

Is there are any ways to generate CpuFriendDataProvider for i7-13700k CPU ?

@CaseySJ

First of all, I'd like to thank you for all the efford you have put into this build and in helping people getting it up and running. Maybe I'm a little late, but I now decided to use this build for my new hack and - of course - I wouldn't be writing here, if everything worked as I expected... I hope you can give me some advice.

So, first things first: Hardware
  • Gigabyte Z690 Aero G (DDR5 version though)
  • 2x16GB DDR5-6000 CL 36-36-36-36 Trident Z5 (RGB yuck); the case says "Intel XMP Ready", I don't know, if that matters somehow
  • Intel Core i5 12600K
  • WD Black 1TB .M2 (in the CPU-slot)
  • AMD RX 6600 XT (Gaming)
As I am using a RX 6600 XT, I am trying to install 12.6.3 macOS Monterey (21G419, currently latest).

First thing, I had to do a BIOS-update because the whole machine didn't even start into BIOS with this CPU and RAM. I thus updated to F22. I don't know if this still lacks the Thunderbolt settings, but I don't have a TB card and don't really care about those.

About BIOS and the settings you listed:
There was no option regarding BAR-support so I suppose, my RX 6600 XT does not support that.
Internal GPU is DISABLED.

My available old hackintosh machine, where I do all the edits, only runs on Mojave, so I cannot use HackinDROM for updates (not supported).

I used your prepared 0.8.3 EFI from post #1,779 and OpenCore Configurator for Version 0.8.3 in order to:
  1. generate new platform info (generic only, 'MacPro7,1', I tried 'MacPro1,1' but the installation then tells me that installing this version on that platform is not supported)
  2. rename my GPU and GPU audio (DeviceProperties)
  3. add '-v' to the boot-args (NVRAM)
  4. set Misc->Debug->Target to 67
  5. (left Misc->Security->SecureBootModel on 'Disabled')
As I am installing Monterey 12.6, I chose SSDT-UIAC-Z690-AERO-G-ALL-PORTS-HS14 and set the XhciPortLimit quirk.

Now, trying to install (USB 2.0 drive in one of the two USB 2 on the backside), installation stalls at "HID: Legacy shim 2" (s. attached picture).

And now I don't know how to continue and hope you can help me somehow...

I am attaching:
- photo of the stalled screen
- my config.plist
- some OC-log file that was generated automatically
- my DSTD dumped on Windows 10 (which runs fine from a seperate SSD)

Thanks in advance for your time and help. I really appreciate it!

Regards,
Jo
