I just noticed that BIOS F8a is available. Do you recommend upgrading to F8a? I'm still on F7.
ASRock and then Asus have added Raptor Lake support.Looks like most motherboard vendors are updating their Z690 BIOS for upcoming Raptor Lake processors (13th generation). It should be okay to upgrade the BIOS, but if Raptor Lake support isn't needed then for most users the best option would be to keep the current BIOS.
Edit: Posted too hastily. F8a for Z690 Aero G only adds support for i9-12900KS.

We tried to find a non-BIOS solution for disabling E-cores, but we were not successful. Hence it’s necessary to enable/disable cores via BIOS.Sorry to jump in here – I am combing this thread to try to find out whether there is a non BIOS (e.g., SSDT) way to disable E-cores in macOS (so they can still be recognized when dual-booting into Windows). Sorry I know the answer must be somewhere on the forum but I couldn’t seem to find it.

If you have upgraded to OpenCore 0.8.2 it should be possible to perform an in-place upgrade to the public beta. As always, we strongly recommend making a full bootable backup first.
