Sorry @CaseySJ , I may have caused some confusion.

Both Above 4G Decoding and Above 4G MMIO BIOS assignment options exist by default, only enabled Above 4G MMIO BIOS assignment will show a new option under it.

So the text needs to be updated:

  • Above 4G DecodingEnabled
  • Above 4G MMIO BIOS assignmentEnabled
    • Then a new option will appear under it:
  • Re-Size BAR SupportEnabled

I just upgrade my 12700k to 13700k. However, Geekbench results :banghead:

13700k:
Single-Core Score: 2269
Multi-Core Score: 9484

12700k:
Single-Core Score: 2318
Multi-Core Score: 10546

I wonder if the 4 extra E-cores in 13700K is causing this. macOS does not know the difference between E and P cores.

Just disabled in BIOS all efficiency cores + some small overclocking

I only enabled 4 e-cores during the benchmark to make a comparison. Just checked Geekbench website, and 13700K with z790s have a much higher score.

Hello @ahoeh,

Sorry to hear about the ongoing problems. Some questions/comments:
  • Are you trying to install Ventura 13.1 from scratch?
    • Do you want to install Ventura 13.3 instead?
  • Feel free to remove serial numbers from config.plist, then compress and post the entire EFI folder
    • I can upgrade it to OpenCore 0.9.1
Little reminder to this @CaseySJ. Ist there anything I can optimize?

Upload could be found here:

Try the attached config.plist, but copy serial numbers into PlatformInfo -> DataHub before using.
  • Are you still on BIOS F22?
  • Is Above 4G Decoding enabled in BIOS?
  • Do your BIOS parameters look like the ones in this post:

It's happening!

Ordered most of my parts and they are coming next few weeks! (some parts like WD black 1TB takes 3 weeks to arrive)

  1. The difference is I'm going with DDR5 instead of DDR4 that this thread is based on. Had to cut back a few things.
  2. Unsure if my case will arrive this week since the item was sort of out of stock so might change it to Corsair 5000D for an extra $20.
  3. I ordered both of the Fenvi due to my indecision. I might return one of them.
  4. The 1000W PSU is overkill but it was on sale and the price was sorta equivalent to the 850W.

Feedback are welcome! just in case I need to make any adjustment due to incompatibility issue.

@statusquo,

Good choices. The Fenvi FV-T919 is not compatible with macOS Sonoma. We can still use on-board Intel WiFi.
