Hey Casey,Hello @dsingh,
Some questions:
I tried all of the modifications you described, but on my Z490 Vision D with Monterey Public Beta 1, the i225-V port does not actually connect (no green dot in System Preferences --> Network). The correct driver loads, but the a connection is not established in Monterey.
- Your Z490 Vision D has two Ethernet ports, but only one is defined in System Preferences --> Network. Are you sure the Ethernet cable is connected to the red Ethernet port on the rear IO panel?
- Have you intentionally deleted the second Ethernet entry from System Preferences --> Network?
- Is SIP enabled or disabled (csr-active-config)?
I tried with and without AppleVTD.
And then reboot immediately.sudo rm /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
sudo rm /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
Hi, yes that is indeed the right board. GA is simply a (bad) prefix for Gigabyte.Hi, can you help verify that this is the correct Z490-Vision D? I just need to be sure and I am quite new to all of this. Also It's a good price for Australia - and they are nearly sold out so...I guess time limit? This is the link:
GA-Z490 Vision D
It's just that it says GA at the start..? I have the Z390, but it seems to be having issues Booting - even into bios. I have replaced the battery and am now on bios f9i.
But If I need to replace the motherboard (has issues even with no disks / OS on) then I should grab this quickly.....unless it's not the correct one.
I can not afford a Mac any more, my circumstances are SO different - SO this is a Godsend to me.
Thank you ALWAYS.
Txx
dk.e1000=0
boot arg.I can also confirm the same:@CaseySJ,
Hi Buddy,
Just confirming that I also don't need to use FakePCI kexts for Ethernet on Big Sur 11.4.
I disabled all FakePCI and Ethernet related Kexts in config.plsit and added thedk.e1000=0
boot arg.
This is on Gigabyte Z490 Vision G booting macOS Big Sur 11.4 via OC 0.7.1
Also running with AppleVTD with no side effects found so far, system is just as stable as before.
Cheers
Jay

fileAre you booting from EGPU or IGPU? try switching your display to other ports and see if it helps. Also did you use the Intel EFI?is there a guide on how to upgrade? i tried replacing the efi folders with the latest oc release and then the files @CaseySJ posted on the latest release...then installed from catalina -> big sur. however, now i can't get it to boot into big sur. just getting a black screen.
should i start over and fresh install? or is there a way to save this install?
