My hackintosh recently lost the ability to Wake On LAN after upgrading to Monterey 12.5.1 from Big Sur 11.6.8. Wake on LAN, after a complete shutdown, works fine when I boot using Ubuntu but not macOS.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Following changes have occurred for upgrading to Monterey -
1. Upgrade OpenCore from 0.7.7 to 0.8.3
2. Patch the firmware of the integrate Intel i225 using the i225-v mod zip file
3. In place upgrade from Big Sur to Monterey
I have tried waking up using the Aquantia card too but its a no go. I tried enabling Wake-on-LAN in UEFi after enabling CSM but macOS won't start after enabling CSM. Wake-on-LAN option does not exist in UEFI if I disable CSM.
Ethtool in Ubuntu reports Wake-on-LAN capabilities as "g" which means it should respond to magic packets and the setup works correctly if Ubuntu is the OS shutting down the system.
What next to try?
