So I just removed my boot arg alcid=11 and added the correct device property id that is equal to alcid=11 which is and it works! Maybe the reason my layout id of 28 worked in device properties for my vision g was because it was an incorrect number that the alcid=11 boot arg was just basically...

Yes 2.54.1.0 is the right one. At the time that mini-guide was written I didn't know what the next version would be called.

Yes this is okay in Catalina -- to make it work in Catalina we just need to change the Device ID to 0x15F2 instead of 0x15F3. But don't worry about this for now. Monterey supports 0x15F3, but as mentioned in the 0.7.6 mini-guide, this port may not work at all in Monterey. It works for some, but not for others (including me).

I've just realized there is a major problem with OC 0.7.6, I can't boot Windows, it displays a black screen once I press it and nothing happens, it used to work perfectly fine with OC 0.6.8.
Am I the only one experiencing this?
Anything I can do to fix it?

You need to disable AppleVTD in order to dual boots Windows and Mac OS.

@CaseySJ My magic trackpad is preventing my Hackintosh from falling sleep, and after I updated to Mac OS Monterey the preventing Bluetooth device wake Mac option is disappear. Is there any solution to that? Thanks!

We can disable wake from USB (Bluetooth operates over USB) by enabling:

• SSDT-GPRW.aml from ACPI section
• GPRW patch from ACPI —> Patch section

After this, only power button will wake up the computer.

The actual model name is not apparent from IOReg, but it is a Broadcom device judging by "BCM" in the driver name. It's a WiFi 6 module with 80MHz max channel bandwidth on 5GHz band, and 2x2 MIMO instead of 3x3. It's the same chip as on M1 MacBook Pro from 2020.

IOReg from my 14" MacBook Pro. No clear device ID anywhere that I could find. Might be in one of the hex dumps.

This problem affects some users, but not all. I have not needed to disable AppleVTD in order to boot Windows 10 or Windows 11 through OpenCore. We haven't determined what specifically causes this problem for some users.
