I made a new USB stick with the 0.7.6 EFI listed above, and booting to Monterey I did lose audio again. I had to add the device ID listed earlier in the thread 0D000000, and the audio is back.

Today I will try a fresh install of Monterey

To be technically correct, 0D000000 is the layout-id, not device-id.

I appreciate the post! I have a backup system and a new MBP M1 Max, so if it doesn’t work I’m not stuck. And since I am in this position and can afford to test, it’s a bit of value I can bring to scene. Change my username to Canarydust.

P.S. Z490 Vision G Bios F21 is working fine withe OC 0.7.5 and OSX 11.6.1 on my rig!
(haven't thoroughly tested but it boots and doesn't do anything strange at idle/light use)

I don't have a thunderbolt card (Vision G) so I can't speak to that. Sleep/wake seems to work fine as well. I'll do a deep sleep cycle tonight and see what happens (aka if my drives unmount as they are wont to do since sometime around 11.5)... but so far so good!

Yes. My mistake. I corrected my previous post. At any rate, seems Vision D has no audio until the value is added, so maybe the default EFI can be edited to include it?

I wonder if different versions of the motherboard come into play. BIOS I am using is F6 I believe.
