So I just removed my boot arg alcid=11 and added the correct device property id that is equal to alcid=11 which is <0B000000> and it works!

Maybe the reason my layout id of 28 worked in device properties for my vision g was because it was an incorrect number that the alcid=11 boot arg was just basically able to ignore. ha.

Yes, Keep all other boot args you have. Also, make sure you change the “type” from number to data. That is paramount. After making those changes reset nvram by pressing space bar at oc bootloader.

Doing this basically moves the alcid=xxx boot arg into device properties. Per Dortania install guide, this creates “a more permanent solution for closer to how real macs set their Layout ID.”

Its fine to do either alcid=11 in boot arg or set in device properties. Just don’t do both since they may conflict with each other.

i have tried this method. But still have no audio.
My board is vision D.

And my board is a G, so anyone else with a D may be better suited to guide you here. You can try to remove any audio devices listed in device properties and then add an alcid=xxx boot arg, one at a time, until you find the one that works for you. The ALC1220 supports layouts 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 15, 16, 17, 21, 27, 28, 29, 30, 34, 35, 98, 99, 100, meaning all of these numbers are possibilities to try (for example alcid=1, alcid=2, etc.)

Yesterday I saw the update that says F5 and F6 BIOS is recommended for USB C and thunderbolt at main page, quickly I downgraded to F6 BIOS and successfully stable but still, the USB C at thunderbolt ports didnt mount, do you have any solution? This is my IOREG.

USB-C devices attached to Thunderbolt ports will work if they are connected before macOS boots up. But USB-C devices will hot-connect on the front-panel USB-C port. If your case has a front-panel USB-C port, simply connect the supplied cable to motherboard's F_U32C header.

However, if you connect a Thunderbolt dock to one of the Thunderbolt ports, then it should be possible to hot-connect a USB-C device to the Thunderbolt dock.

Monterey -- What Does Not Work:

• Intel I-225V 2.5GbE Ethernet port is not working at this time for 99% of us. The other Ethernet port (I-219) is fully operational. If a second Ethernet port is needed, options include:
  • USB to Gigabit Ethernet adapter
  • USB to 2.5GbE Ethernet adapter
  • USB-C dock with built-in Ethernet port
  • Thunderbolt dock with built-in Ethernet port
  • Apple Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapter (requires AppleVTD to be enabled)
• Laird BT851 Bluetooth 5.0 USB dongle not working at this time.
• If Monterey is installed on Samsung NVMe SSDs, boot time can increase by 60-100 seconds due to "trim" incompatibilty.
  • This can be addressed by cloning the Samsung NVMe SSD to another disk, erasing the Samsung NVMe SSD with Disk Utility, and cloning macOS back. Please be careful with this process if you decide to do it.
• Crucial P2 NVMe SSDs (only P2 series) also suffer from trim issues in Monterey.

Instructions:

• Download appropriate ZIP file below and follow these instructions to configure config.plist.
• If "Resizable BAR Support" is enabled in BIOS, set ResizableAppleGpuBars to 0 in Booter quirks.
• Copy EFI folder to EFI partition of USB flash disk and boot from USB flash disk.
• Ensure that REL-076-xxx appears on bottom right corner of OpenCanopy Picker.
• If everything is okay, mount the EFI partition of USB flash disk and internal macOS SSD, then copy EFI folder from USB flash disk to internal macOS SSD.

Things to Test or Check:

• Any OCS or other warnings before OpenCore picker appears?​
• Does macOS boot properly?​
• Does Bluetooth work? Can you enable and disable Bluetooth?​
• Does Bluetooth work if you (a) boot into Windows and then (b) boot into macOS without doing a cold start?​
• If you use "Resizable BAR Support" in Windows, try enabling that in BIOS and check if macOS boots properly.​

Catalina Users:

• Set SecureBootModel to Disabled.

Whoah! Are there any major benefits with the Vision D? Maybe Monterey is more stable? Got my RX570 and Music and TV+ are now working, as is audio in Monterey. Have to see what else is working, but I am feeling better about things. My Geekbench is only 32K with the 570, and should be about 40. Is there a turbo switch I am missing in the Mac OS? BIOS is stock so it should be around 40,000.

So it means that from the beginning, users that using Z490 vision D w/ flashed TB should've known that plugging the USB C to Thunderbolt port(s) will never get hot-plug and must've been connected before macOS boots up, yea?

Yes, for USB C front panel, it worked as it should be with hot-plug like you said. So the solution for this case is: "if you're about to make USB C hot-plug on Thunderbolt port(s), you should buy the TB3 hub that connected to one of the TB3 port and then you can connect the USB C to that TB3 hub and the hot-plug thing will work as it is." Right?
