Very tempting, @CaseySJ yours is a fresh install? If you confirm it is, I'll try to reinstall BS and then upgrade. I have CCC so it should not be too long...
For me Monterey was a fresh install. I'm about to perform an upgrade from Big Sur on the Z490 Vision D. Just waiting for full bootable backup to finish.

Maybe it's the hardware revision or firmware of the I-225V. There's 3 hardware stepping B1, B2 and B3. B1 had a number of issues, B2 had some as well but they were addressed with a nvm firmware update to 1.45. Some early Z490 boards shipped with B1 and later boards B2, then even later the B2 boards were factory flashed with 1.45. B3 is found in mostly Z590 boards.

So far everyone that's posted success screenshots has been on revision 0x0002 or 0x0003 (in one of the vision Z590 build threads.) I wonder if those who don't have it working either have revision 0x0001 chips or firmware versions lower than 1.45

I have everything too :)
Doing a fresh install right now of BS 11.6.1, will check Ethernet 2 and upgrade to 12.1 (ß1) and check again.
See you in around 1h30 min, it's only 9am here

There goes that theory. Mine is working too but it's 0x0002, and I updated it to the 1.45 nvm firmware way back when the build was new. Not sure if it makes a difference but VT-d is disabled in the BIOS, I never got around to implementing those EFI changes.

Are you using Windows to determine firmware ID?

Update: I see what you mean about firmware update. Will give this a try.

Yes the update utility intel/gigabyte released released was windows only

edit: Intel also has Linux update utility but not the firmware binary so its possible to do this on a Linux live usb with the binary from the windows release and the Linux utility, if this turns out to be important.
