Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Yes the update utility intel/gigabyte released released was windows only

edit: Intel also has Linux update utility but not the firmware binary so its possible to do this on a Linux live usb with the binary from the windows release and the Linux utility, if this turns out to be important.
Just ran the Intel i-225V firmware update tool in Windows. Seems my controller has been on 1.45 since the beginning.

Let's see if the upgrade versus fresh install theory pans out... ;)

No good. The Intel I-225V Ethernet port fails to connect in Monterey regardless of whether Monterey is installed as an upgrade or from scratch.

You win by one minute :)
Same conclusion -:(

There is new BIOS F21b update for Z490-D maybe it's worth to trying it?

Revision 0x0002 and NVM firmware 1.45 don’t appear to help either.

The plot gets thicker than gravy on Thanksgiving day.
The plot has gotten even thicccc’er than the new 16” MacBook Pro. ;)

After couple hours read all those bugs at update Montentry, at least know how deep of the water....
remove all fakeID kext for Intel 225v ports, seems Montentry native support.
Check all devices, only bluetooth not working, try many ways fix it, but no luck at all. 2.6.1 bluetoolfixup also not working. Remember I chose BCM9460CDP wifi card, sure Apple native support. Off power pull it out and replug.
All working so smooth right now. Stupid me spend couple hours debug....
Next is try to fix the display card temperature info, @CaseySJ any easy way to fix that?

What tool are you using for this dashboard please?

Hmm, the plot thickens. You are using iMac20,1 and @lewys has iMac20,2. @MacArthur tried iMac20,2 without success.
  • Which version of BIOS are you running?
  • Are your BIOS parameters configured the same as in Post 1?
I have F20 BIOS. F21 is available, but I am waiting for a brave soul to try it first.
BIOS setting is the same with exception of Vt-d. It is Enabled (I am running VMware Fusion 12-Pro) and I couldn't find the Initial Display Output setting in the IOPorts tab, though my GPU is in slot 1.
