yes UHD630 with no other GPUs connected (I did connect the GTX 780 though when I only had 1 monitor connected if that matters)
I'm using 1 HDMI and 1 DP port on the Vision G
Dell U2412M (both)

Never had a problem with dual monitor setups on my OLD hackintosh system.

Any ideas on what could cause that? @CaseySJ
If not I'll just keep unplugging it's not the end of the world.

Mhh are you referring to the OC setting in Misc-Security tab? If that's the one, I always had it as Default and never had any problem.

Just a hint - have you tried Jettison as @CaseySJ suggested me a while ago? Maybe it helps.

In my scenario, as I said, connecting an enclosure with ASMedia ASM235CM using a Type-C to Type-C connection, makes the system unable to sleep, regardless of Jettison. Switching to a Type-C to USB-A fixes it.
But it's also funny that d2 Professional uses the same ASM235CM (although tweaked?, it seems, as it doesn't passthrough SMART data in macOS, while it works in Windows) and it has no sleep issues when ran with Type-C cable.

I haven't tried Jettison as it has always been my goal to not need it :) RE where to find secureBootModel, I'm not sure where it is in OC Configurator; I edit my config.plist in Xcode.

Hello CaseySJ,
I didn't have a chance to return to my backup problem till today. It looks like the problem is in the script - complaining about non-zero exit status. Do you have an idea what that could be?

I appreciate any help you can provide.
The EFIClone script needs to be removed from the Preflight section and added to the Postflight section. Please give that a try and see if it works.

Took the plunge on Monterey, and all went well. But my trusty Laird BT-851 USB Bluetooth that worked on 11.6.1 doesn't work on 12.0.1. So far no other issues. None of my old USB BT dongles work. I've never bothered with the Z490 built-in BT or WiFi stuff.

Looks like BlueToolFixup.kext got pulled for revisions until next Monday or later? The current one doesn't work for me. The word is Apple is "actively" developing on Monterey bluetooth, so probably BluTool is a bit of a moving target.
I wonder if we need to use BcrmPatchRam extensions. Might be worth a try...

The device ID spoofing technique is something we still use in Catalina. Looks like we’ll need to do that in Monterey as well.

Pro: It allows us to use that port.
Con: The port is limited to 1GbE.

The procedure is described in the “Catalina” section in this post:
Update:
  • Unfortunately the Intel I-225V Ethernet port still refuses to connect whether we set its device-id to F2158680 or F2150000 or F3158680.
  • Enabling and disabling SIP also does not appear to help.
For the time being, the Intel I-225V Ethernet port is unusable in Monterey. But there are other options such as:
  • Use the other Ethernet port on rear IO panel (not the red one)
  • Apple Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapter (requires AppleVTD to be enabled)
  • Thunderbolt 3 Dock with Ethernet port
  • USB-C Dock with Ethernet port (these are low cost)

The Dell U2412M has these ports:
  • DVI-D
  • VGA
  • DisplayPort
Some comments:
  • Because there's no HDMI port...
    • Are you using HDMI to DVI-D cable/adapter?
    • Are you using HDMI to VGA cable/adapter?
  • Because this monitor has legacy ports (VGA and DVI-D), it's a fairly old model. In general we recommend monitors that natively support DisplayPort and HDMI.

On z490, sometime around Monterey beta4 or so Bluetooth stopped working. So to fix it I needed to use the following for Bluetooth to come back: bluetoolfixup, brcmpatchram3, and BrcmFirmwareData.kext. On z590 I don’t have to do anything. With the same fenvi controller. Weird.

This may partly depend if your Bluetooth device needs a firmware upload when it powers. Mine does not. The Intel ones do apparently.

Something else interesting is after I installed my CPU cooler I was getting 5 beep post code with A2 LED display. The issue was the display port cable not completely inserted. But neither of those error codes have anything to do with that problem.

I’m using the Apple Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0 controller (BCM94360CD) that is on the Fenvi T919. Works fine in Big Sur, but not Monterey.
