Pics or it didn't happen!!

• 14" Liquid Retina XDR Display is amazing. Thin bezels are wonderful.
• Promotion is excellent but I'm used to 165 Hz 1440p monitors so 120 Hz promotion is not exactly groundbreaking to me, but it is definitely a massive improvement above every laptop I've ever owned (I've never owned a gamer laptop and I know some of the current models come with 144+Hz displays).
• The notch isn't so bad but I'd rather no notch but it is invisible in full screen mode.
• Thing is dead silent unlike my Intel MacBook which had mini jet engines as fans, and it got very hot to the touch at times... If the fans are spinning in this thing I can't hear them. Thing is cool to the touch.
• Cool to be able to run some iPad Apps, I can finally run one of my favorite RSS readers (Heartfeed) on the Macintosh.
• Keyboard is amazing, way better feel than the butterfly keyboard. I thought I'd miss the Touch Bar, but I don't. The blacked out look of the keys is quite cool.

Do you feel as if the stock 14" with 10-core CPU and 16-core GPU (the $2499 model) would have been sufficient or perhaps more than sufficient?

Ive read many reports of users who already had betas of Monterey working great. Has anyone upgraded their current stable 11.6 to Monterey along with OpenCore 0.7.4. Anything to look out for? Or is it pretty much just plug and play?

The slow boot times can occur after Monterey has been installed, so if you experience slow boot time after installing Monterey, please run this command again.

Meanwhile, if you don't have a Samsung NVME SSD, I would say it's okay to upgrade to Monterey, but note that Intel i225-V 2.5GbE Ethernet port does not work (yet). The other Ethernet port is okay.

This is worth doing:

• In Terminal, type:

log show --last boot | grep "trims took"

• Give it a few seconds to run then press CTRL-C to stop.
• Post the output.

Here's the result from my Z490 Vision D with release version of Monterey:

kernel: (apfs) spaceman_scan_free_blocks:3153: disk3 scan took 1.913441 s, trims took 1.786507 s
kernel: (apfs) spaceman_scan_free_blocks:3153: disk2 scan took 2.299866 s, trims took 2.262432 s

Yes, only 1.024 seconds for trim. This is very good. Did this particular startup take less than 30 seconds?

Sometimes, just like before I updated to Monterey. Sometimes takes 20 seconds to boot and sometimes takes 90 seconds to boot. I don't know what caused the variation. Also, I put my boot-log in the attachment. I can't seem to find a huge time gap from the last boot. Last boot took me 55 seconds to boot. Thanks again!

OK, so I just installed 11.6.1, and my computer is no longer giving me the disk ejection warning on wake-from-sleep,
but in 11.6 and 11.6.1, my streamdeck does not wake to it's original state either, and wake-from sleep is significantly longer than in 11.5. Since I now have appleVTD disabled, I'm inclined to assume this is a fundamental OS USB behaviour change from 11.6+

OS Monterey 12.0.1 Install just fine as a Upgrade to 11.6 running OpenCore 0.7.4. Took about 30min and a few reboots...
