I live in Italy and I can’t seem to find a z490 vision D what’s the best alternative so that I don’t have to make a lot of modifications?

You may be able to buy a refurbished Vision D at Ebay Italy.

Z490 Vision G is the closest match. You could use other Gigabyte Z490 motherboards too. Not sure what you have available there in Italy.

Take a look at HackiDROM app and see which motherboards have pre-built EFI folders available.

Z490 vision d is no longer in production. There’s the z590 vision d which has problems and z690 aero d is coming for alder lake in approx 2 months or so. Meanwhile see if you can find a z490 vision G.

Efi will be slightly different, especially for USB port mapping as well as probably no thunderbolt hotplug ssdt for the vision g since it doesn’t have thunderbolt.

@CaseySJ maintains an efi for the vision g. You just have to look for it. It’s out there somewhere. You can also maintain your own efi it’s not too hard to do once you get the basics down.

Yo can use the same EFI and make some additional adjustment which you can find in first post of these thread, just scroll post to "Modifications for Z490 Vision G".

I have Z490 Vision G and it works very well.
