There are number of ways for usb port mapping. Depending on the method used, it can be more easier or flexible to use. Many users out there with different need and preference respectively. If you'd like to have less kexts as possible, you can also do a usb port mapping that does not require injecting the kext. This simply requires modifying(limit to 15 ports) the acpi table of your motherboard where the usb ports are declared then drop the table and inject modified one; just like how we do with the DMAR table.Hi guys,
It's been a while I wanted to post this for some contribution. I hope things have not changed a lot in recent automated scripts to update OC zips.
I was trying to move away from as many Kexts as possible, that I don't need, to make the system more stable when updating the system officially.
One of them is USBInjectAll, and ACPI's port information in that section. As far as I understand we don't need these with "iMac18,x and newer", right? (Reference: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore...eparation.html#checking-what-renames-you-need)
I just created a simple USBMap using the above guide which I've been using it for about a year now. That mapping doesn't require any of the "SSDT-UIAC-VISION-D-V*.aml" enabled and "USBInjectAll". Unlike USBInjectAll, this mapping is just a kext that has Info xml file and no binaries, which should always be working, as binary may break more often with kernel updates. We also shouldn't need "SSDT-UIAC-VISION-D-V*.aml" as newer Intel systems don't need the USB mapping renames? As they work out of the box, as with iMac20,1. (Ref: guide above)
I've attached the USBMap below, if you guys want to take a look.
Have you seen my Asus ProArt Z690 Creator in Golden Builds? A number of users have used the newer Z790 version of the board, but with 13th Gen there are some BIOS settings to be careful about.Hi @CaseySJ - any plan for a new intel based build in 2023? I have same build as yours Z490D-w/i9-10th/RX580, but it seems slow a bit now. It works perfectly, no issues (thanks to you), just thinking if you have a plan for a new build. Also thinking if it costs around 2k then is mac-mini-m1/2 worth.
Hmm, I would first reboot the cable modem and then the router.Hi,
I have a weird problem on my Z490 Vision D. I am running Ventura 13.3.1 with OC 0.9.1.
I keep losing Internet Connectivity when connected by Ethernet or WiFi.
If I run my VPN, Internet connectivity is restored.
If I reboot, Internet Connectivity is restored (Ethernet or WiFi) but only for a period of time when it is lost again unless I run my VPN.
I already have the 'Ventura-AppleVTD-Patch' installed and this worked fine at first.
Thanks.Hmm, I would first reboot the cable modem and then the router.
