Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

What I mean is that when I load up GPU history window in Activity monitor, when WEG is not in clover, I see both graphics card and IGPU (see screenshot - this is what it looks like with your new config.plist and no WEG.

And yes, when WEG is installed, I don't see the internal GPU, only the RX 580.

It shouldn't appear there. IGPU should be running "heedlessly". To see if system is detecting and using IGPU, use IORegistryExplorer and search for "IGPU".

Also, this config unfortunately didn't help. Computer crashed before it even went to sleep. Also stopped iCloud (though that is probably because of some serial number thing).
Thanks.

I did not change your IGPU. I just enabled the IGPU and GFX0 renames. It should not cause any crashes. Make sure you are using the right config.plist.

Booting from my original EFI from before I installed the RX580 (attached), this is what I see in IORegisterExplorer. Also attached is what System report states for Graphics. The GPU history window in Activity monitor only shows AMD Radeon RX 580 (Slot 0) - image also attached.

Hope this makes some sense in your head.

For all these changes, I am loading the config.plist onto the EFI partition of a USB stick and booting from that. I presume that is ok.

The system froze when I selected sleep from the apple menu.

Can you also run Hackintool and report or screenshot what you see in the Patch tile, top pane?

Edit: I also thought of another BIOS setting you can try. Make sure you allocate enough memory to the iGPU:
  • DVMT Pre-Allocated → 64M
  • DVMT Total Gfx Mem → MAX

I'll try those BIOS settings in a minute. Screenshots of Hackintool Patch tile attached. Not sure which one you meant.

Well everything looks good. Did you try patching the framebuffer too? Aside from that, I am not sure why sleep/wake is not working.
