Just wanted to follow up my post from May for those that don't want to go the Broadcom/slot route:

I moved up to Ventura on my system last month (OC 0.8.7) and using the proper Intel/BT kexts (and a USB assignment to include HS14) I'm quite successfully using an Intel WiFi/BT m2 key in the motherboard's native CNVI slot. I'd say that back in May, using Monterey and older versions of OC, it was a little spotty at times, but now with OC 0.8.7 and Ventura it seems much more stable.

Again, here's the kit, and it doesn't take up any slots -- critical for me as my 6900XT and my Titan Ridge have used all available:

Cheers,
J

Did the Intel WiFi package fit OK - did it collide with the case fan, for example?

TIA

Not sure what choo mean… it plugs into the board’s cnvi slot, then it’s just two small wires to a slot plate… easy peasy.

I am using the latest EFI with OpenCore 0.8.8 and the iMacPro1,1 smibios on MacOS 13.1 GA. Only change to the EFI is the update to the config.plist to add the mandatory system information.
It seems I am not able to update this machine with MacOS 13.2 as it is telling there is no update for it. Even after an nvram reset.
If I manually download the complete update from the Apple servers I am able to update. I was able to update a Macbook Pro and an old Macbook Air with OpenCore Legacy Patcher just fine earlier today so I am sure the issue must be on my hackintosh.

Is anyone else struggling to update to 13.2 using the 0.8.8 EFI?

Edit/Correction:

Set config.plist > Misc > Security > SecureBootModel to "J137".

Could you clear a doubt?
Has it ever happened to you, to be using a wireless mouse, which in this case uses the usb dongle, to make the connection, but it keeps losing the signal?
In this case it would be a Logitech M510 and a Dell Wireless that also uses this type of USB dongle.
Could it be some Kexts or USB Map?
Because this is happening in Ventura 13.2.

I never tried in Ventura but I did use a Logitech mouse with dongle in the past without issues. I doubt the USB mapping would cause any problems...

Do the mice work work correctly in Windows or Linux?

I will check, because this configuration is no longer with me, it was sold.
But the same mouse is working perfectly on the Macbook Pro.
