Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Both can be connected and used. However, the 8-pin EPS connector is more than sufficient under normal circumstances. The only time the additional 4-pin EPS connector is needed is for extreme overclockers who want to feed insane amounts of power to the CPU which, in turn, will require even more insane cooling.

Good to know. With just the ATX_12V_2x4 connected, it seems to handle my OC i9-9900K with no issues(OC'd at 5.0GHZ)

Yes. Exactly.

I've run my motherboard with and without the additional 4-pin EPS connector connected and everything was fine under both scenarios.
All these high core count power hungry Intel CPUs remind me of the early 1970s when V8/V10 muscle cars were all the rage. Then the oil crisis came along in 1973. All of a sudden people stopped buying as many of these cars because the cost of gasoline made them too expensive to operate. The new Apple M1 is like that '73 Honda civic that had an answer to the high gas prices. A more efficient engine/car that got you where you needed to go. The difference with the M1 compared to Intel CPUs is that your Honda Civic now saves money on gas but you can still beat the muscle car in the 1/4 mile on a drag strip.

For anyone reading this that's too young to remember the first US released Civic see this article:

To be fair, power consumption on 9th and 10th gen Intel CPUs stay pretty close to their advertised TDP at stock. But once you start overclocking, power consumption increases dramatically.

The M1 is amazing. I'm very excited about getting an Apple Silicon Mac. I'm just waiting for 2nd gen...

Also, search around for "RISC-V". It's another extremely high efficiency CPU that was announced recently. It promises to be many times more efficient than even ARM CPUs.

I found something interesting. It wasn’t obvious to me, but the deal is this. As we know, the pin housings are in a square shape and what is called a “D” shape. The D shape will fit into a square, but not the other way around. I suspect this is how the manufacturers reconciled the the ATX_12V and EPS12V standards. We’ll see...

Hello, I come back to you, I always have a problem regarding the wifi, I have a wifi speed that changes constantly sometimes I even have cuts, and I never exceed 200mb / s except under windows I go up to 866mb / s and without any cut, for info I have a fenvi 1200m and I am under clover

my config.plist

What kind of Wi-Fi card are you using?

Please attach your EFI, don't post your config.plist like that. It induces dyslexia for me.

sorry for the config plist the last time you told me I asked you to give it like that and you had to solve a wifi problem precisely, I use a Fenvi card in pci-e

The Fenvi cards should be plug-n-play. Three's nothing to configure.

yes I know but I have this wifi speed problem, it must come from somewhere because the same configuration under windows works well. there is not a hardware conflict or that I do not know in my config'plist

I have nothing configured for Wi-Fi. No special kexts, no patches, no SSDTs.
