I'm trying to install 10.15.7 and using the EFI folder from post #1360

you will need to disable your serial ports

just tried booting with serial ports disabled in BIOS. same result, the screen goes black at the same point

Which port are you using on your motherboard? The HDMI or DVI-D?

I've been using HDMI, I can try DVI-D though. One min.
