Punched that in, and front panel audio works again but still no back panel.

Will have to revisit this later, off to the evening with my family. Thanks!

Make sure your speakers are connected to the green audio out on the rear of the motherboard and in System Preferences > Sound, try all the audio out options.

Ok, so there are 5 entries in the list; the first one is the rear panel audio that, when selected, works. The second one is headphone which is my front panel audio.

I assumed Mac would be smart enough to know which port I plugged it into and change the output source. That does not appear to be the case (I assume because they've never had more than one audio out jack?). Just gotta pick my port and select the proper output source when I want to use it?

The descriptions you see in System Preferences > Sound is from AppleALC and they are not the best descriptions...

I'm getting forbbiden sign on some boots. Heres a picture of the resultant error, also attached my efi just in case. Do you have any idea on how I can fix it? thanks in advanced.

Please disable CFG Lock and try either the latest Clover or OpenCore EFI from post #1.

There's too much I need to fix in your EFI and it would just end up being what's on post #1 anyway...

ok! thanks. CFG is disabled. I'm on F9k. If I update clover to the latest it won't boot anymore. And I have to use the usb to boot again. And copy the EFI folder from the usb, or just de EFI drivers and replace them on my ssd efi drive.

Try booting from the EFI on post #1. If you encounter problems, boot in verbose mode and post a picture of where it stops.

You can also try OpenCore EFI.

I mean, one is Lite Edition, and I didn't found anything regarding that one... Anyone has that one?
In the "About this item" part says:
