Gigabyte's brand new 100 Series Z170X-UD5-TH and Z170X-SOC-FORCE are two boards we've really had our eye on for the LGA 1151 platform. The Z170X-SOC-FORCE is full of features for the overclocking enthusiast. The Z170X-UD5-TH is the first available with full Thunderbolt 3.0 and HDMI 2.0 certification, using Intel's Alpine Ridge controller. Each also has the new USB 3.1 10Gbps Type-C ports.

PLEASE NOTE: This hardware is cutting edge. It's brand new and DOES NOT work natively with OS X because Apple has not released any Macs with these chips yet. For fully compatible desktop hardware using 4th Generation Haswell CPUs and 5th Generation Broadwell CPUs with 9 Series motherboards, please see this month's CustoMac Buyer's Guide.

Here are some pics we took today. We'll be testing using these boards as well, so stay tuned for compatibility updates.

These look sexy as hell.

Looks good. Ive been looking at Z170X-UD5-TH but I'm going to wait till apple releases a Skylake Mac before purchasing. :thumbup:

OC TOUCH sexy :beachball::beachball::beachball:

Think the USB C port will work fine in OSX? as apple has changed USB in 10.11.

Z170X-UD5-TH has two Thunderbolt3 ports!
And Apple?

The problem with the TH mobo is that I've read that MAC OS does not give more than 1080 through HDMI, and this motherboard only has 1 HDMI out, and no other graphic ports. It forces you to purchase a graphic card if you want more graphic resolution.
