Hi!
I am currently picking parts for a new machine.
I originally wanted to get the Gigabyte Z170 UD3 for my new build,
but it is out of stock everywhere at the moment.
The Gigabyte Z170 HD3 seems to be available, and costs a bit less.
Side by side they seem similar, but different sizes.

What are people experiences with these?
Is there much of a difference between them?

Is there any difference between them in terms of running and installing Sierra?

They are very similar. The main differences are different audio and different CPI and CPIe options. If the link works, those two boards are compared here:
