Gigabyte UEFI BIOS + StarTech Firewire PCIe card - Sleep / Wake / Shutdown / Restart Issues thread

Same situation here (Startech PEX1394B3) with a Gigabyte GA-Z270X-UD3 and High Sierra 10.13.2. Shutdown immediately restarts the system and sleep does not work. Situation is normal with the card unplugged.
I've read about the SYBA SD-PEX30009 being OOB since it has a Texas Instruments Chipset. Does anyone know if this card fixes the shutdown and sleep problems and it's compatible with High Sierra 10.13.2? Thanks

Yes !
I exchanged my Startech for a Syba PCI-Express 2 ports 1394B, 1 port 1394A Support Low Profile
And it is working now : no more reboot at shutdown and sleep OK on 10.13.2

I am mentioning this here because it is the first result for this problem on Google, and the conclusion seems to be to buy another card, but I got shutown to work with the Firewire card installed! I just had to activate the obvious (I can't tell why I missed it until now) option in Clover "ACPI -> Fixes (1) -> FixFirewire I found this mentioned by @makoffee in this thread.
