Gigabyte Sniper M5 build?

Hey all,

I saw several posts here regarding the limitations of using a Gigabyte Sniper M5 as hackingtosh MB,
and a recommendation to go with the Z87MX-D3H instead.

Did the release of Mavericks change any of that?

Is the Sound Core3D™ in general not supported, even on a pci discrete card?

I'll be posting a video soon, on how to built a workstation for video production.
Ask me again in 2-4 weeks time. This is what the initial question was for.

In the meantime though I decided to base it on windows. One of the two builts
will feature an Asus Maximus 6 Impact MiniItx Board which I recommend to check out.
