"The day before CES 2012 opens up to the public, Legit Reviews has been busy with press conferences and meetings with the various companies that we work with. Today we were able to attend the GIGABYTE press conference where they had some great information for us. Possibly the most exciting point of the meeting was the sneak peek at several of GIGABYTE's Intel Z77 'Ivy Bridge' motherboards!"

GIGABYTE G1.Sniper M3 looks interesting, lo.

The rest doesn't exacly impress me. Just overworked Sandy Bridge boards. Very nice to have with a new build, but it shouldn't offer any noteworthy improvements over the previous generation of boards.

But the first board from your link is interesting... 22nm CPU's for S1155. ... Good to know :-3

Are there already some indications, which boards will be better or worse suited for building a hackintosh? I am planning to do so, as soon as boards and CPUs are available...

Unfortunately, Gigabyte has put some incompatible components in these boards standard.

1. VIA Audio
2. Atheros Ethernet

If these components stay in as standard, Gigabyte Z77 motherboards don't make any sense for hackintosh anymore. There are no drivers available for these components. One could use VoodooHDA for the VIA audio, but then there aren't any Atheros ethernet drivers to my knowledge :(

(EDIT: Atheros is supported by http://code.google.com/p/iats/)

No mitx either.

This ASUS P8Z77-I looks interesting, but i cannot find the specs for it.

Then again, given the fact of how much i love Shuttles, i might just wait to see if they release a new Z77 model soon, but somehow i doubt that, since they just released the Z68 model.

*UPDATE*

Found the specs.

TonyMac, what do you think?
